MeFirst Ltd runs mefirst.ie so you can discover independent hair, beauty, barber, and wellness businesses across Ireland, then book and pay in one place. We build the map, the calendar, and checkout. The person with the scissors, the colour, or the treatment is the shop you chose.

When you book, your appointment is with that shop. We look after the listing, reminders, messages, and payments around it. If something about the service itself needs a conversation — timing, a result, how the visit felt — start with the shop. If something about the platform needs a hand — a payment, an account, a slot that did not stick — we are here through Contact.

Browse live shops on the map, read What’s New, follow a favourite, and add one or several appointments to a single cart. If you are seeing two shops on the same afternoon, checkout can order them as a simple itinerary so travel between them is a little less guesswork.

Shops get a public page, a booking calendar, a till, and payouts through Stripe. Optional extras include reminder emails, a live walk-in queue, prepaid memberships, in-shop merch, and last-minute Flash windows when a chair comes free.

Shop pages, prices, lookbooks, reviews, and these guides stay on the site so you can read them without creating an account.

Stories are a short extra: a photo or clip a shop posts from My Profile that expires after 24 hours. If you arrived from a story that has already gone, the shop page and calendar are still the place to book.

Online payments run through Stripe Connect. We do not store full card numbers. With Pay Now, the listed service amount is charged online and the shop is paid out by Stripe. Checkout also shows a Service Fee — a clear line for card processing on that booking, including VAT on those processing costs where it applies. Visits paid entirely with membership credits do not carry that Service Fee.

Pay at Shop holds the slot and lets you settle the service in person, the way you would after a phone booking. A card may be saved at €0.00 so the shop has a method on file. The Service Fee, when it applies, is still taken online. Gift bookings name who is in the chair while the paying account stays responsible. Group links let each guest book and pay for themselves.

Addresses use Eircodes, maps come from OpenStreetMap, and account data is handled with GDPR in mind. Support is through the contact form. Terms of Service, Privacy, Cookies, and the Merchant Agreement are published so customers and shops can read the same rules.
